Liverpool have been proactive with their transfer business this summer and this time they’ve revealed the price tag for a young midfielder.

After an emphatic Premier League title win, the Anfield giants have begun rebuilding the squad for the next season to reach higher feats.

The Reds have let go of a few stars, namely Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher, on permanent transfer and have sent Vitezslav Jaros on loan to Ajax.

There are rumours of a number of players leaving the PL champion side this summer, including Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson emerging as strong names.

Young defender Jarell Quansah has become a subject of interest for Bayer Leverkusen after selling Wirtz and the German’s joining has in a way slightly affected another youngster’s LFC career.

The time of Harvey Elliott at Liverpool might’ve come to an end with the former Leverkusen midfielder arriving at the club.

The former Fulham wonderkid accumulated very little playtime under Arne Slot as he was on the pitch a total of 821 minutes in 28 appearances across all competitions this recently concluded season.

Elliott, however, made the most out of these endeavours with five goals and three assists – the late winner against PSG at Parc des Princes being the most iconic (stats via Transfermarkt).

And according to a latest report by The Athletic‘s Andy Jones, LFC are ‘seeking a fee of more than £40m.’ This price tag is justified if we take the recent market inflation into account.
